Khalid Bey
Hello. My name is Khalid Bey and I am a City Councilor in the City of Syracuse (New York). I am also an author and Public Speaker.
Khalid El Bey was born in Syracuse, New York in January of 1971. He attended Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia as a Social Work Major, and studied Psychology at Empire State College in Saratoga Springs, New York. He has conducted independent research in history and law, and has studied some non-traditional subjects as well. He is the co-founder of the Creative Research Society, whose main focus is the re-education of the so-called African American and he is also an active member of the Ancient and Primitive Rite of Memphis & Misraim (Egyptian Rite Freemasonry). An Author and a Public Speaker, Mr. Bey has lectured at a number of colleges and universities, as well as at a number of community events along the East coast and in the Midwest, and has spoken extensively about the questionable [historical] origins of man, man’s personal identity, human behavior and human relationships. Mr. Bey is also very active in a number of community organizations in Syracuse, New York, where he's located. In November 2011, Khalid Bey was elected to the Syracuse City Council, where he is serving his first term as a political representative. As a City Councilor, Khalid Bey serves as Chairman for the committee on Economic Development, Downtown & Metropolitan Planning. Currently, Mr. Bey owns and operates a small book publishing company, Deyel Publishing, through which he plans to release a number of books authored by him, and eventually books written by other authors.
